Jim and his team now shoe Pardon Me II and Major Buck who are all still based at Downgate Farm and was awarded ‘Best Shod Horse’ at the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials two years running with both Society Spice and Pardon Me II.

Family

Sophie Llewellyn

Sophie has enjoyed riding since she was tiny, form mini camp at Pony Club to being long listed on the Junior Event Team and competing Nationally and Internationally to 2* level.

Sophie now works full time and go married to Ian Dove in 2016. Sophie still commpetes in Eventing and all round and is currently producing her home bred youngster.

Tim Llewellyn

I have known Tim for a very long time. Rumour has it that we used to feed the ducks together from our prams! Both our families were in the Building Trade and had become great friends over the years. We shared many common interests in the cars and horses and have had so much fun enjoying both Sports. The main reason I changed from Show Jumping to Eventing was because at that time I could Event one weekend and then go with Tim the following weekend to race the cars.  Tim was hugely supportive to me, when I was competing and has been very supportive to both Emily and Sophie, going to watch them competing when he can. Now also Tim and Oliver share a fantastic interest in racing the cars and spend many happy hours rebuilding them when they break!

Oliver Llewellyn

Oliver used to ride and hunt, but has now moved on to enjoying horse power in the form of racing Vintage and Classic cars with Tim.

Oli works in London, but lives in the South East and is very supportive of everything Equestrian.
