Welcome To Cindy Llewellyn Coaching

Cindy is a B.E. Accredited Coach, UKCC Level 3 coach and a BHSI Stable Manager. Cindy is also Chairman of the Selectors for the New Zealand Eventing Team.

Cindy absolutely loves Coaching and has trained many riders who have started at B.E. 90 or Pony Club competitions and then taken them on a journey from Pony Club level right through to competing at 4*, training and supporting them all the way in all areas. Several of these riders, very successfully competing on Pony, Junior and Young Rider Teams, winning many Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along the way, both Individually and for the British Team, and now competing at the highest level on our British Senior Teams.

Cindy also coaches less experienced riders  and really enjoys sharing her passion for the Sport and helping them to see what they can achieve with a bit of hard work and dedication. Cindy really enjoys teaching riders in all disciplines and then linking the whole picture together. Many Clients have remained great friends over the years and Cindy is now teaching their children!

Cindy started off competing herself, mainly in Show Jumping on ponies and then later on with horses, producing many horses through the grades to Grade A and competing at all the top County shows, Hickstead, Horse of the Year show and Wembley. Cindy, over the years. has broken and produced many lovely young horses for all disciplines. When Cindy and Tim got married she sold several horses to set up a home, but kept 2 of the Grade A’s and turned them into Event horses. Cindy had always wanted to Event and spent the next 12 years having a fantastic time  producing and competing her own, and Owner’s horses up to and including 5* level, competing at Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Blenheim, as well as abroad. Cindy also enjoyed competing in pure Dressage at Prix St Georges and Intermediare level.  Cindy decided to stop Eventing herself to concentrate on spending more time with her three children, Emily, Sophie and Oliver. Since then Cindy has had a wonderful time helping Emily and Sophie with their Eventing careers. Emily decided that she would like to ride professionally and has had an amazing Eventing career. Emily is still the only rider to have won the Under 16 British Pony Championships, the Under 18 Junior Championships, The Under 21 Young Rider Championships and the Under 25 Championships at Bramham. Emily also competed on 8 Youth Teams in 8 consecutive years, since she was 14 years old winning many Team and Individual Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Emily also finished 19th at Badminton when she was 19 while Studying for a Business and Management degree, and has since been presented with an Armada dish for completing Badminton 5 times by the age of 26. Emily has now turned her hand to show jumping, and now jumping 1.60 Grand Prix. Sophie works full time, but still very much enjoys competing up to 2* level. Oliver and Tim have a passion for horse power of a different kind, and absolutely love and race in Vintage and Classic Car racing.

Cindy is still completely passionate about Eventing and has been delighted to be a Selector for the Senior New Zealand Eventing Team since 2015, and is now Chariman of Selectors. Previously, Cindy enjoyed being a selector for the British Young Rider Event Team for several years. Cindy focuses on coaching riders to achieve their ambitions through creating solid foundations from which you can develop a confident and trusting partnership between horse and rider.  Cindy also loves helping people holistically, from horse-care, stable management, the horses own symmetry and muscle development to planning both horse and rider fitness. Establishing the basics, practicing dressage tests and Show Jumping courses, walking distances and lines, Cross country techniques and finding the rhythm for the Cross Country  and then planning the competitions for the season ahead. Cindy can provide competition coaching for Dressage, Eventing or Show Jumping to support your most ambitious goals. Cindy offers private and group lessons, and also specialist tailor made Individual and small Group Training days to cover all aspects of Eventing. ‘Stay over’ courses for 2 days to a week can be arranged.
